Cavan Pétanque Club hosted a friendly doubles melee, earlier in the week,  featuring players from Sligo, Loughnavalley, Dromod Harbour, Longford, and Guernsey.
Twelve teams competed in a closely fought event, with the lead changing every round. After strong performances across the board, Fabio and Sue claimed gold, while joint runners-up took silver and bronze, including Shane and Nora from Longford—impressively playing for only six months.

The day enjoyed fine weather, great camaraderie, and showcased the welcoming spirit of the Cavan club in Belturbet, which invites anyone interested to come along and get involved.
